Floristry Fridays - a four week course

New for 2025 I’m offering floristry Fridays - four consecutive Friday mornings of floristry on the farm. Each week you’ll pick a bucket of flowers and I’ll guide you in making a hand tied bouquet, a bowl arrangement, a wreath and finally a hanging installation on the last season. Limited to six spaces so book well in advance if you fancy it. May 2025. BOOK HERE

Pick Your Own Flowers

Come and spend some time in the garden and cut your own flowers to take home. This is an opportunity for anyone to take an hour out of their busy lives to unwind, to reconnect to themselves and to nature, and to just enjoy the sights and sounds and smells of the farm. Taking your flowers home with you, you’ll have the chance to explore your floral creativity at your own leisure, creating something beautiful for your own kitchen table or to gift to a loved one.

You’ll be given a pair of snips and a slim metal bucket to pick into which will comfortably hold a large handful of flowers.

You will have free reign over the garden, picking whatever takes your fancy, whatever colour combination. No flowers are off limits, although you will be given guidance when you arrive on how best to pick for the health of the plant and the longevity of your flowers.

Please bring a clean bucket to take your flowers home in.

Wear sturdy shoes for exploring the garden and dress for the weather!

Google maps will get you to the farm but sat nav will often take you somewhere else. Our drive is easy to miss so go slow - we’re opposite Kiddal Hall. Press the green button to open the gate. Park in the yard in front of the cow shed and make your way through the gate saying Sammie’s Flowers - it’s opposite you as you enter the yard.

You’ll see snips and a silver bucket waiting for you just outside the gate - please help yourself. I’ll probably be in the garden if I’m not there to meet you. Feel free to get started picking if you can’t see me.

Call me on 07458011574 if you need me.

Please note that PYO slots are £27.50 for 1 person for 1 hour, although this time limit is not strictly enforced, but ensures the garden is not too busy at any one time as each time slot is limited to 6 people. If you’d like to bring an extra person, but just pick one bucket of flowers, each extra person is £5 (children 11 and under are free).

Cut and Create Workshops

Come and spend some time in the garden and cut your own flowers to make a beautiful bouquet to take home. This is an opportunity for anyone to take a few hours out of their busy lives to unwind, to reconnect to themselves and to nature, to enjoy the sights and sounds and smells of the farm and to explore their floral creativity.

You will be guided by me in making a beautiful bouquet. I’ll walk you through my creative process as I make a sample bouquet and then give you time and space to create your own. There are some pointers which I hope you’ll find helpful, but this is your creation and I’ll only help if you ask me to!

Once you’ve seen my demo you’ll be given a pair of snips and a slim metal bucket to pick into which will comfortably hold a large handful of flowers.

You will have free reign over the garden, picking whatever takes your fancy, whatever colour combination. No flowers are off limits, although you will be given guidance on how best to pick for the health of the plant and the longevity of your flowers.

Please bring a clean bucket to take your bouquet home in. I’ll tie and wrap your bouquet to take away if you’d like me to.
